From VOA News: Heavy rains caused flooding Monday, June 19, in Houston, blocking roads and forcing some schools and businesses to close for the day. Texas Governor Rick Perry ordered National Guard trucks and crews, helicopters and swift-water rescue teams to Houston in response to the twenty-seven centimeters of rain that fell. Some residents were rescued from stranded vehicles. Flooding was also reported in southwestern Louisiana.
