Making Better Playlists Using AppleScripts

• Merge 2 Lists - a/b -- THE BATTLE OF THE BANDS script
  • What does it do?
    • Takes tunes from playlist "a" and playlist "b" and evenly shuffles them into a 3rd playlist "Merged: a/b", so every other tune is from playlist "a."
  • Why?
    • This lets you easily put together "battle of the bands" playlists. Alternate The Beatles with Bon Jovi or pit Chet Atkins against Jimi Hendrix.
      • Other possible uses:
        • Alternate your favorites with your spouses favorites.
        • Alternate what the kids like with what the parents like.
        • Alternate rock music and country music.
        • Alternate new music with old music.
        • The possibilities are almost limitless.

• Merge Up to15 Lists -- THE BATTLE OF 15 BANDS / ALTERNATE 15 KINDS OF MUSIC
  • What does it do?
    • This does the same as the "Battle of the Bands" (Merge 2 Lists - a/b) script, however, you can evenly shuffle up to 15 playlists.
